The Scientist

Fram FW18 at Høyer at EGER

In 2018 Fram entered a collaboration with the artist Arif. Science is about seeking understanding for what you do not know. With Arif's minority background, he communicates areas of society that otherwise get little attention. He gives a voice to those who lack one. Fram is inspired by how Arif is looking inwards to find the texts for music that hit us the most. Where Nansen researched "outward", Arif research "inward". The fall collection from Fram, inspired by the quest for insight and understanding, has been given the title "The Scientist"

FW18 re-evaluates our relationship with the environment.
As we long for a stronger connection with our surroundings, we gravitate towards nature. Textured tweeds and traditional corduroys, brings natural warmth and a rich tactility to the collection. At the same time, soft suedes and mélange knits bring a luxurious feel that references toward something more natural, sophisticated and urban.
This is underpinned by tonal color styling, with deep and earthy contrasts.

Traditional fabrics, such as flannels, tweeds and Donegal comes in separates but can also be worn head-to-toe. This provides surface interest and versatility, providing a rich feeling of warmth and coziness. The result is “weathered” garments that appeal to a consciousness about provenance and craft. FW18 is building on the idea that repairing the old, will create something that feels new. A sense of wearable wanderlust, closer to nature.
